Happy Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving this year! We were able to spend the holiday with Matt's side of the family (which never happens). Somehow, despite 5 days of fun, I don't have one picture of everyone!

On Thanksgiving we got together with the May side of the family for a delicious dinner at the clubhouse by Rich and Marla's townhouse. Everyone brought yummy things to eat, and Alayna went all out on the decor and fun things for the kids to do. My favorite part of the day was everyone busting out a spontaneous rendition of "Peanut Sittin' on a Railroad Track". Classic!

The cousins had so much fun together, and thanks to wonderful weather they spent hours every day playing/wrestling outside.

We also got together with some of the Holbrook/Foulger clan, which is always a great time!

November Happenings

November brought our first good snow storm. It didn't last too long, but long enough to get in a few days of snow fun! I caught Jackson licking ice off the window....who's child is he?!

Landon enjoys going to my doctor more than I do. They spoil him. I can't blame them!

Kensie and Lincoln both entered the Reflections contest this year. Kensie choreographed a dance and Lincoln took a picture. They both received awards and are moving on to the district level!

Gourmet Night

I hosted Gourmet Night at my house this month. I was so busy all day that I forgot to be tired and sick. It was a huge blessing! I had fun coming up with the menu this time. I only had one minor major snafu when I realized in the morning that all the homemade pumpkin ravioli that I made (and have made several times) the day before and froze had burst open! Word to the wise- do not freeze ravioli with pumpkin filling. I had to come up with a back-up plan quick, but luckily it ended up being just as yummy!

All Hallows Eve

What a great Halloween! The weather was the best its ever been, I think. Matt took the day off, so he got to enjoy the school parade with me!
This year the kids dressed as Cleopatra, a pirate, the Batman, and a cute little hobo. We enjoyed our traditional dinner in a pumpkin before the kids went or trick-or-treating with Matt (or with friends, in Kensie's case). I stayed home to eat hand out candy and watch scary movies.

Sundry October happenings part 2

More good weather =a trip to the zoo! The kids loved the funny polar bear and the cute baby giraffe. Of course, it wouldn't be October without the first snowfall of the season! It was just enough to get us excited for snow boots and hot chocolate.
The kids had some fun days at grandma and grandpas house. One day Batman came to visit! They also had fun playing in the leaves.

Sundry October happenings part 1

The weather was so nice for most of October! We took advantage with a fun outing to the park to feed the ducks. Over fall break we scoped out the new Scheels, and spent time in Park City with my family. It was perfect bike riding weather!

September Catch-Up

September was a busy month! I'm just now getting around to posting what we've been up to.....

We've enjoyed the fall colors this year. They've been extra vibrant it seems!

 We spent a day at the Eddington cabin. The leaves were just beginning to change and the air was crisp. Matt, Landon and I went for a walk and got stuck in a rainstorm. We camped out under a tree until grandma came to rescue us!

We I enjoyed watching the Utah/BYU game! What a crazy ending!!

third time's a charm!

We spent a few days at the May cabin and the colors were out in full force! It was amazing!!

We've lived at soccer and basketball. Jackson had fun in his first year of soccer. Those Kindergarten games are nail-biters, let me tell you (haha).

Lincoln decided he wanted to play basketball instead of flag football (why?!). He's good, but got on a crappy team with an even worse coach. So, the games have been like nails on a chalkboard for me. He's having fun, though. That's all that matters I guess.....
