Two Months Old

Celebrating Grandpa Elmer

 On June 22nd we headed up the canyon to Brighton for a Young family reunion/celebration of Grandpa Elmer. He would have been 100 this year. We hiked around Silver Lake, ate lunch, and had games and a program at the Brighton Branch church. It was great to see cousins and family that I don't get to see too often, and learn things about Grandpa that I never knew.

Trek

In our Stake, the 12 year olds get to go on Pioneer Trek. I was super nervous about Kensie going at first, but she was so excited about it and I knew it would be a great experience for her. They were gone for 4 days and I realized how much she helps me around the house!

She had such a great time! She loved her family; Grandpa E and Grandma K (Eli and Kim Martinez), Ma & Pa Julia Vaughan and Ammon Martinez, and all her siblings! She said that it was really hard, expecially the women's pull, but that she was proud of herself for doing it. All of the leaders told me how impressed they were by Kensie. She did everything she was asked and never complained once.

Aidan's Blessing Day

Aidan was blessed on June 9th. We were so grateful to have almost all of our family there (Curt, Charlene, and boys were on the way but were delayed because Curt was super sick).

In attendance were Great Grandma May, Great Aunt Teresa, Grandma & Grandpa Holbrook, Aunt Alayna, Grandma & Grandpa Young, Uncle Spencer, Aunt Andrea, Thomas & Dallin, Uncle Danny, Aunt Leah, William & Ann!

Uncle Danny locked his keys in the car in the church parking lot, so he and my dad ran up to the fire station to see if they could help. They got the trunk open and Jackson crawled through the back seat and unlocked the doors! Not only did they come to the rescue, they brought the fire truck with them so the kids could see it! They were in heaven!
