A Month Of Quotes
I love quotes. I love reading the inspiring words of others. I have an entire journal dedicated to quotes, thoughts and poems that I love.
Each day this month I will be posting one {or two...or more....} of my favorites- just because I love them so {and also in case something should ever happen to my beloved journal, which incidentally is covered in astroturf. It's awesome.}.

Friendship

"We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over."
-James Boswell
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
-Anais Nin

COCO

So, naturally I was in HEAVEN when he took over for he who must not be named and I could actually stay awake to watch! Huzzah! I nearly wet myself every night during all the wax Tom Cruise & Fonzie sketches. I rejoiced in the Conan/Andy reunion. Such a great combo!
Farewell, Conan......I'll wait for you.

confessions
1. There is laundry in my dryer that has been there for two days now. I'll get around to it eventually.
2. I have to look at my ultrasound pictures every day to remind myself that I'm having a boy.
3. Lately Lincoln has been sequestered to the family room to play Mario Kart while Jackson's sleeping so I can rest, too. {I haven't been sleeping well lately}
4. I tripped and fell {for no good reason} last night while walking into a friends house. Embarrassing, and I only have a skinned knee to show for it. {how's your ankle, Brooke?}
5. Sometimes I feel like I am slowly becoming invisible.....
6. I hate the fact that I am growing accustomed to Matt being gone.
7. I'd pretty much sell my soul right now for a Cafe Rio salad.
8. I want to cry when I look at my carpet. Yes, it's that nasty.
9. I'm over the morning sickness, but still use it as an excuse now and then to serve ramen for dinner.
10. I've been in my pajamas all day today, thought about actually getting ready, then thought what's the point?

BiRtHdAy BoYs!
He was so excited and spent hours riding it in the basement.
We met up with Matt, Grandma & Grandpa Holbrook, and Uncle Curt for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Lincoln loved the saddle. He had fun opening presents from Aunt Alayna & Uncle Curt & Aunt Charlene. Thanks, guys!
Grandma & Grandpa took him shopping and he got exactly what he wanted: GUNS! He was in heaven!
So, I made a funfetti cake with an "L" and he decorated it himself with his favorite treat- sour gummy worms. He was happy!
On Sunday we celebrated Lincoln's and Matt's birthdays with my family. Lincoln LOVED his new helmet, awesome I Spy book, and Mario Kart {which he's been playing non-stop!}. Lincoln and Matt {and Jackson} blew out their candles and we had fun eating cake and watching one of Matt's presents- a Brian Regan DVD.

Potty Time!
No More Diapers! {for a few months, anyway!}
Jackson is a potty-sitting, undie-wearing fool! I took advantage of the Christmas break and decided to potty train the little man. He did great {once I figured out that he hated the training potty and just wanted to use the one everyone else uses}! He's only had a few accidents {knock on wood}.
I must confess that some most of my motivation came from the fact that we have new garbage cans courtesy of Draper City. Our old ones were RANK! I'm looking forward to not having to hold my breath when I open the can!

who needs a sled?
Usually Kensie is in front and Lincoln holds on to her ankles and follows behind. It is so funny to watch! They end up with a pile of snow in their faces and laugh hysterically.
Jackson is content to just sit and eat snow for hours. Every now and then, when he feels he needs fresher snow, he moves on to a new spot.
