1) I cannot wait for all this election business to become old news. I am sick of hearing about B.O.'s new dog, Oprah crying on mystery man's shoulder during B.O.'s acceptance speech, etc. etc. etc. Let's get back to the real news. You know, like what in the heck is Britney up to lately?
2) I find it ridiculous that there is a huge protest going on right now outside the Salt Lake LDS Temple.........
a: Latter-Day Saints are not the only ones who voted to pass Prop. 8 {amazing, I know}. I haven't heard of any protests outside Catholic churches, some of which have come out in support of Prop. 8, too, as well as in support of the LDS church.
b: they're protesting in Utah. we didn't even vote on Prop. 8 for heaven's sake. i guess they ran out of places to protest in Cali....
c: matt is downtown & is stuck in traffic because all of the roads are blocked off.

Agreed. I am excited to have our first black president but can Oprah do anything else on her show? We are forced to Access Hollywood to get the real news. Also, it is totally shameful that the LDS church is taking so much grief about the prop 8 thing. If all of those protesters had spent anytime working the phones or carrying signs in Cali before the vote took place they might have made a difference for their side. Now they're just complaining! BTW, according to the news in CA, the African American crowd made a huge difference in the prop 8 results. Most African Americans who came out to support Obama voted yes on prop 8 which pushed it over the top--the Mormons (while they did a lot to support it) were a very small minority of actual voters in deciding the outcome. Amen.
Amen!!!
I agree let's all get over it and not say Prop 8 for a little while. Like when it is summer and you don't say the word school. Today all the wards that meet at the Oakland Temple grounds had to be redirected to other wards because the picketing and protesting was to wild in Oakland.
