I have a love/hate relationship with the month of May. Love it because the end of school is near. Hate it because of all the end of school madness (dance festival, field day, parties, etc., etc., etc. It never ends!). Love it because I get to celebrate the birth of three of my kiddos. Hate it because that means three parties to plan, three (at least) cakes to make {okay, so I don't hate that part. I love an excuse to bake!}, three times the present buying. Add a newborn into the mix this year and it was interesting.
Let's just say we kept it pretty low key this year. NO friend parties. One party with my family to celebrate all three kids. It was actually a fun month!
First, Landon turned 3! He is obsessed with the Avengers, and his presents showed it :) Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook came over to celebrate with us and have cake.
The next day was Kensie's birthday. The big 12!!! I surprised her by checking her out of school. She got a mani/pedi, we ate lunch at Rumbi's (where she was pleased by the number we got!), then Grandma Holbrook took her shopping. That night she opened presents and we had {more} cake!
The Sunday before Jackson's birthday we celebrated all the May birthdays at my parents house. Jackson picked the cake: a blue dinosaur! Grandma Young always has a festive mantel!
On Jackson's actual birthday we went to the gardens, he got a new bike, and we ate volcano cupcakes (his other request). He turned 6, and I can't believe he will be in first grade next year!!
