9 Months

Here are a few videos of my cute 9 month old! At his check up he weighed in at 18 pounds 12 ounces and was 27 1/4 inches. For as much as he eats, he's a little guy...but so stinkin' cute! I also found out that he has an ear infection.....hmm.....not a sign or symptom. I wonder how many ear infections have gone undetected by me because my kids don't complain about it or seem sick in any other way?? A few things he's learned lately: how to give kisses and how to climb up the stairs. I've been dreading this day {the stairs, not the kisses of course}. Our gate doesn't reach across the stairs, unfort. I've got to find some way of blocking them off. Thoughts? Maybe I just need another gate....

New Finds

I was reading the Church News today & found a few websites that I thought were worth mentioning.

Jesus Christ, The Son of God - Amazing new website created by the church. Check it out!

Birthdays Without Pressure - I found the examples of out of control parties especially amusing {yet scary}.

Here Comes The Bride

On Saturday I got to help with a bridal event at Macy's. Some of the KitchenAid "big wigs" came in to town to put on a great demo for all the brides-to-be. I had so much fun! We spent Friday night grocery shopping, prepping food, setting up the demo area, and getting to know each other {I got home around midnight}. The next day began bright and early at 7:45 a.m. I'm so grateful to my parents for letting the kids sleep over and watching them both days {thank you, thank you}! It was such a fun day. We made some yummy recipes, which I'll post on Cookbook Junkies soon. Here are a few pics to whet your appetite!

I learned a few things from this event:
#1- people are obsessed with "free stuff" and will do just about anything to get a set of measuring spoons {I think some even sold their souls}.
#2- Cake decorators should not bring samples of their cake to bridal events in the mall unless they are prepared to lose most of their inventory to clueless old ladies and pregnant moms with 5 kids in tow.
#3- People are now getting married at the age of 15. I swear, some of the brides I talked to looked like they should be taking drivers ed, not registering for food processors {they acted like it, too}.

A Few Little Diddy's

A Monster From Lincoln

A Note From Kensie {she found some of my stickers!}

A Conversation With Kensie:

Me: Who do you sit by at lunch?

Kensie: Pretty much every girl in my class.

Me: What to you talk about?

Kensie: You know, girl stuff.

Me: What kind of girl stuff??

Kensie: Oh, like makeup and High School Musical and stuff.

Me: Are you in first grade or 10th grade?

Kensie: Huh?

The Cullen's

They just put these pics on Stephenie Meyer's website. Rosalie looks different {better} with blonde hair & not as much makeup. Esme seems weird. {I just realized that she's the chick from Grey's Anatomy- face reconstruction} The others are pretty good, I think.

Thumbs Down

Dear hitchhiking ski bums,

Every day you stand by the side of the road with your thumbs held high, and every day I pass you by. Would you like to know WHY? All fears {you being creepy, stinky, attacking me, etc.} aside- the real reason is this: not only do you expect me to pick you up and drive you up the mountain {or as close as I'm going}, BUT you expect me to find some way to load up/strap on your dang skis/snowboard. Pretty presumptuous, don't you think? I'm pretty sure you haven't come equipped with your own supply of bungee cords, so how do expect this to work out? And anyway, if you can afford those skis/snowboard, a ticket to the slopes, and that fancy gear you're wearing, I'm pretty sure you can afford a car, or at least a bus pass. So, next time I pass you by, I'll slow down & throw you out some change for the bus. Quit mooching. Oh, and quit giving me dirty looks when I drive by and wave.

Love,
Natalie

More Twilight Friends

Victoria

Rosalie

James

What do you think?? Rosalie is SO not what I pictured, but then again none of them really are. Hopefully she'll at least have blonde hair in the movie, and Victoria will wipe that smile off her face and look really scary!
