WATCH THIS-
I've known about this for awhile & try to steer clear of the plastic, but I've been naive about the baby bottles. After all, they wouldn't make a bottle that wasn't safe for kids, right?? My Gerber and Avent bottles have NO numbers! Avent's website says their bottles are made of polycarbonate (didn't give a number) & while they had a convincing blurb about why they're safe I'm tempted to toss them. But then I'd have to toss my pump, too, because it only works with their bottles. What to do? Still can't find anything on Gerber bottles.....does anyone use glass??

Oh, great. I wonder about binkies too.

I hope you dont mind me coming to your blog, I saw your comment on Delayna's and got curious. I just watched that clip and felt like they just left us hanging. I would of liked being told more alternatives. To me it made it seem like water bottles were not safe? (The middle segment) I have also watched news clips saying the water in the water bottles you buy with water in them (like advent) at the store is not as clean as tap water. The whole baby bottle issue really gets me worried because I have always boiled my advent baby bottles (and binkies)for 4 min. on the stove to ensure they are clean. A pediatrican told me to do that to ensure your baby never gets thrush (a yeast infection on their tongue). I dont think I have ever even seen a glass bottle. Have you? This is long winded but I totally agree with you.
Hey Natalie! Good to hear from you! Looks like life is moving along well in UT! I will check in with you later!
I've been thinking about the plastic dilemma ever since I first read this post. I'm troubled! It's so hard to avoid plastic, especially with babies and kids. I never can find those blasted #'s on any of their stuff. Let me know if you find any more info about this subject.
