There have been numerous occasions in the past week that should have been captured on my camera. But the flash on my camera is no longer working, making every picture I try to take either a blurry mess, or a dark and gloomy mess. Therefore, I have no pictures of Thanksgiving. We did have a great day, but you'll have to take my word for it. We had a fabulous meal at Matt's grandparents house, and enjoyed spending time with his family. That evening we headed over to my parents house for more family fun, including Thanksgiving puppet shows put on by Kensie and Andrea. It was a great day!
My Grandpa's funeral was on Monday. I braved the basement boxes and busted out the old school camera for the occasion- however, the memory card on this ancient beast only holds 10 pictures, so I was limited. Hopefully my dear cousins will share their pics with me! It was great to be with family that I don't get to see often. It's always fun to catch up. The funeral was amazing. Arnold Frieberg spoke, as well as President Monson. I learned some new things about G-pa from them! I managed to snap a few pics at the graveside service. The veterans were there in uniform to pay tribute to him, perform a gun salute, and play Taps on the bugle. It was very touching- something I've never experienced.
So, my NEW camera should be here next week. Merry Christmas to me!
p.s. Matt is in NYC right now probably looking at the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Square as I type, while I'm home watching The World's Tallest Woman on TLC. How unfair is that??
